The Star Of Booker Is A Little Of Both!

In his ripped jeans and beat up black leather, Richard Grieco looks like a real sexy 1990's tough guy. But one gaze into his eyes, and those bottomless pools of hazel say to you that this is a sensitive guy with a lot on his mind. So who exactly is the real Richard Grieco? Is he the rough and tumble rebel you see him play on TV's Booker - or is he a guy with a social conscience who wants to positively influence others? In taking a look at the life and times of the gorgeous Grieco, it appears he could be a bit of both!

High School Lessons

"I always got good grades in high school, but I was a bad student because I always rebelled against rules and regulations," Richard recalls. After he got transferred to a Catholic high school in ninth grade, Richard says he often found himself questioning authority. "Some of my teachers took awful positions, using way too much discipline. I was always questioning religion and the way it was being taught to us, like we weren't allowed to question anything." he said. In a lot of ways music provided answers for him (he spent hours up in his room listening to to his favorite bands!). From music, Richard learned that it as okay to question authority, and that it was still possible to be your own in the face of it. By expressing himself creatively through music and through his writing, he was able to find his own sense of individuality.

Word To Live By

From his experience growing up, Richard formed his own philosophy that still holds to this day: Never let peer pressure get to you. Go with your gut instinct, and don't change who you are jsut to be accepted! Richard holds these creeds close to him in his life and work. "I'd rather sell peanuts in the park than lose my sense of vallues!" he says.

Setting An Example "By The Booker"!

Because he knws a lot of kids watch Booker every week, Richard is glad that he show deals with issues important to him, like drug abuse. Especially where drugs are concerned, Richard believees it's okay to be an outsider as lomg as your'e sticking to your own personal beliefs (in this case, that drugs are a bad scene!). So although Richard might seem like a rebel on the outside, on the inside he's a deep thining dude who stands by the things he believes in. He's living proof that to go against the grain a little is okay - if it's for the right reasons! And who would expect anything less from our main man Richard? He's our handomes Romeo Rebel! Richard was at a charity event at the 20th Century Fox Studio.
