Dom DeLuise and sons Michael and Peter Guest-Star on NBC'S '3rd Rock From The Sun' on Feb. 4
Family Unites with Recurring Cast Member David DeLuise.
t's a DeLuise family reunion when Dom DeLuise ("Evening Shade," "Blazing Saddles") guest-stars in NBC's "3rd Rock from the Sun" as an irate husband in an episode to be telecast on Wednesday, Feb. 4 (9-9:30 p.m. ET). DeLuise's real-life sons Peter DeLuise ("21 Jump Street") and Michael DeLuise ("Brooklyn South") also guest-star as his sons in the episode, joining recurring cast member David DeLuise (son of Dom, brother of Peter and Michael), who portrays Bug, a student in Professor Solomon's (John Lithgow) physics class.
In the episode "Auto Eurodicka," Dick (Lithgow) has a brief, passionate affair with a stranger (guest star Karen Austin), then learns that she is the mother of his student, Bug (David DeLuise). After hearing about the incident, Bug's father (guest star Dom DeLuise) and brothers, Frank (guest star Peter DeLuise) and Paulie (guest star Michael DeLuise), pay Dick a painful visit. Jane Curtin, Kristen Johnston, French Stewart, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Elmarie Wendel and Simbi Khali also star.
Dom DeLuise began his television career on "The Garry Moore Show," appearing as Dominic the Great. In addition to hosting "The Dom DeLuise Variety Show," he was a regular on "The Entertainers" with Carol Burnett and Bob Newhart, and on "The Dean Martin Show" for 12 years.
On the big screen, DeLuise appeared in "The Glass Bottom Boat" with Doris Day, "Fail Safe," "The Twelve Chairs," "Blazing Saddles," "The Cheap Detective," "Spaceballs," "History of the World - Part 1" and "Robin Hood: Men in Tights." He also co-starred with his friend Burt Reynolds in several films including "Smokey and the Bandit II," "Silent Movie," "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" and "The End." With Gene Wilder, DeLuise appeared in "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother" and "Haunted Honeymoon."
The father of the three popular TV actors also has provided the voice for many animated characters in films such as "All Dogs Go to Heaven," "The Secret of NIMH," "An American Tail," "Fivel Goes West," "The Troll in Central Park" and "Oliver and Company."
