Real Story: He spotted her in June 1989 at the premiere of her film Great Balls Of Fire. He was 26, she was 17. Five months after their first date he gave her an engagement ring, and soon after they started working on Scissorhands. They were together for three years, breaking up in 1993. Now Depp's a dad (by his companion, French singer Vanessa Paradis) and Ryder has split from onetime sqeeze Matt Damon and gone on to have a few dates with rocker Ryan Adams.
